Designed and constructed a musical instrument dubbed the 'Flip-Flop-O-Phone' using PVC pipes for Belleville West High School's annual Mr. Maroon talent competition. The instrument featured 37 individual notes spanning three octaves (F1 to F4).
The project required research on acoustic calculations to determine proper pipe lengths. The instrument was built with 200 feet of 2-inch conduit PVC pipe, 130 elbow joints, and 37 couplings, all mounted within a custom-built wooden frame designed in SolidWorks.
