ME 444 Battlebot

Sept 2025 — Oct 2025

Project Description

The ME444 Guided Project challenged students to design and build a remote-controlled battlebot vehicle for a combat competition. The battlebot must be controlled remotely through an ESP32 microcontroller via Wi-Fi and mobile app, use the provided 200RPM geared DC motors for propulsion, run on a single 7.4V LiPo battery, and stay within 10"x10"x10" maximum dimensions and 5 lbs weight.

This bot features two dremel saw blades attached to BLDC drone motors spinning ~20,000RPM. The frame is 3D-printed PLA and can drive upside-down if flipped. Other notable features include the custom soldered perfboard, battery voltage monitoring circuit, and tungsten carbide ballast in the chassis.
